The quote and the design stop being two separate jobs
doEstimate prices the offer, doWired designs the installation. Separately each does its own half well. Together they close the road from the first client call to the documentation pack without a single retyped number.
The path
Four steps, one set of data
- 01An offer for the client
Enquiry and quote
A client asks about smart home. In doEstimate you put together an offer with devices, equipment and labour, on your own prices and markups.
- 02Scope carried into the design
Approval
The client approves the quote. Scope, devices and rooms move into doWired as the starting point of the design, not as a file to retype.
- 03Design, board, documentation
Design
In doWired you upload the plan and design the electrical installation together with the smart home. The board knows the devices from the quote and the rail space they need.
- 04A full quote instead of half of one
Cost returns to the offer
Material and labour on the electrical side flow back into doEstimate, so the client sees one figure for the whole job rather than two from different files.
Division of labour
Who calculates what
doEstimate
Smart home and labour pricing, the client offer, running the job. Live today, independently of doWired.
doWired
Electrical and smart home design, the distribution board, documentation and the material estimate. Launching 1 February 2027.
The shared part
Device catalogue, client records, your prices and markups. One place and one set of numbers on both sides.
No duplication
What you stop doing twice
doWired works on its own. You do not need doEstimate to design an installation and issue the documentation. The integration makes it easier, it is not a condition.
- Creating the same client in two systems
- Uploading catalogues and price lists into each one separately
- Retyping the scope from an approved offer into the design
- Adding up one figure by hand from two documents
doEstimate is live today
If you price smart home work, you can start without waiting. doWired joins the same path on 1 February 2027.
