doWired reads the plan, marks the electrical points, works out cable run lengths, adds the circuits and designs the distribution board. Cable sizing follows the standards and uses the route you actually drew. At the end you get the full pack: the single-line diagram, the bill of materials and the documentation.

The drawing in CAD, the circuits in a spreadsheet, the estimate in a second spreadsheet, the description in a word processor. While the design sits still they all agree. A design never sits still, so one of those files goes stale, and you find out on site with the material already unpacked.

How it works

Five steps from floor plan to documentation pack

Each step feeds the next one. No export to a spreadsheet and no import back, because it all sits in one project.

  1. 01

    Floor plan

    Upload an architectural or electrical design as a PDF, a DWG or a photo. The system reads it and picks up walls, openings and scale. When the file is poor, you calibrate the scale with a single reference line, a door width for example.

    Points and circuits

    You place sockets, lighting points and appliances from the catalogue, with typical household loads and mounting heights. doWired proposes the circuit assignment, you have the final say.

    Cable routes

    Route cables by hand or let doWired do it. Automatic routing follows the axes, because real cables do, not the diagonal through four walls. Length comes from the route and never overwrites your correction.

    Distribution board

    Circuits turn into a DIN rail layout: device selection, placement, phase balance and collision checks. The supply structure becomes a single-line diagram. You change whatever you want done differently.

    Documentation and estimate

    A priced bill of materials, an estimate per mounting point or per labour hour, with markups and a VAT split. At the end, one PDF with six sections.

Under the hood

Four things that matter once you actually use it

For anyone who has already seen a few of these tools and knows where they usually break.

Cable length from the drawing, not from memory

Routes follow the axes, the way cables are really pulled, and length is derived from the route you drew. Correct it by hand and your value stays, because recalculation does not overwrite it.

Cable sizing to PN-HD 60364

Selection follows PN-HD 60364 and checks the maximum circuit length. When the route is too long for the proposed cross-section, doWired steps it up once and says why.

Board collisions show up in design, not on site

Module widths, pole counts and rail capacity are known, so a collision shows up while you lay the board out, not while you mount it. Several boards resolve into one supply tree.

Electrical and smart home in one project

The catalogue covers electrical equipment and smart home devices together with the rail space they need. There is no second file and no second bill of materials.

Documentation and estimate

What you show the client and what stays on file

One PDF pack, assembled from the current state of the project. No pasted tables and no version that drifted away from the drawing.

Circuits and the bill of materials also export to XLSX and CSV, and the drawing to DWG and DXF.

doWired calculates, checks and documents. It does not replace a qualified professional. The detailed design, the signature on protection sizing and acceptance testing stay with the person responsible for them. We say this on the first page rather than in small print, because in this trade ambiguity costs more than a missing feature.
